After playing the Republican Senator robber for all the four seasons on the show have made a very big effect on actor Rob Lowe. It is evident he likes playing the character on TV big it came as a surprise it might take over his present career as he is considering going into politics and it is not the role that has made him think about it while acceding to him, he likes the environment with the challenges. He says he loves politics and that is the reason he is drawn to such roles so lets see what happened. One of the things a politician has to accomplish is to get accepted by the people while presently this is not the case for his political career as he is known as an actor.

He says that he has based McCallister on a few men he knows in his life who achieved a lot and they are very complicated people while being a handful bunch and they get to where they are as they have a need to succeed. Rob does look up to powerful men but this is not something he needs for his acting career as he is already a driven individual landing many roles on the small and big screens.
