Robert McCallister (Rob Lowe)
Robert McCallister is Kitty’s husband. He and Kitty first met when she had him as a guest on her TV show wherein she asked him for help to prevent her brother Justin from being sent to Iraq, but Robert admitted that he could do nothing about it. Soon after, he asked her to be the communications director for his Presidential campaign, and much later on, began dating.
He and Kitty got engaged and Kitty meanwhile discovers that she is pregnant. She unfortunately had miscarried but later on, they finally got married. Robert had conceded defeat to the frontrunner, and later announces his candidacy as Governor of California. He eventually suffers heart attack while on the way to see their new adopted baby.
Robert has been a supportive husband when Kitty decided to vie for the seat his husband had vacant in the Senate. In the season finale, his car got hit by a truck on the way home and he suffered a gaping head wound. He stayed in a coma for a year and eventually, they shut off his life support.
Rob Lowe plays the role of Robert. Rob is from Charlottesville, Virginia. He has received his first Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Movie/Miniseries for his role in the movie Tuesday’s Child. He also starred in the film The Outsiders, St. Elmo’s Fire, and Square Dance.
